As we ride the Union Blue on our way to Selina I remind myself that the lord has called upon me to serve him at all times. As i reflect upon the last few days I realized I have not been as faithful to God and decide to spend a good amount of the train ride in thought and prayer, and then I doze off into a sleep. Our ride stops abruptly as I awaken, for us to discover, another train stopped ahead. The conductors of each train spoke and returned to inform us the tracks have been severely damaged and we cannot proceed until the appropriate repairs are made. The lord has blessed our day however and a local town was readily available to accept us for some rest. As we arrived into the town of Lazerath, we observed a small band abusing an elderly lady. A number of our group ran to assist this poor woman, who appeared disheveled and beaten, and as we ran to assist, the band of goons left to act foolishly elsewhere.   I woke up with my leg and head throbbing. What bit me? How did I get in this cabin? Why do I remember seeing my mother? All of these questions are running through my head as realize that I am in a cabin. I am sooo tired. I hear the sound of gun fire. I am finally able to stand on my own, barely. Out of the windows I recognize the zombies. They are just standing there. I hear from afar, ”I told you to stay out of this!”. It was the gypsy from town. Running Bear yells the question, “Stay out of what?!”. There is Enyeto laying on the floor straining his muscles. It looks like he is trying to get out of ropes. Sweat is pouring off of his body like the outside of a condenser coil.   I ask the others “What is happening?” Running Bear gasps and whispers “She killed the kid. She killed Franky!”. I can barely see through the rain, this constant downpour has made tracking our companions extremely difficult. The Lunger is doing a little better, some rest after the last attack seemed to be what he needed. At least instead of leaning over in his saddle looking like a corpse, he is sitting up in his saddle looking like a corpse. Running Bear caught up to us as we had started breaking down camp, that whore must have been something special, I’ve never seen a more cheerful Cherokee in my life. Gunshots break us from our search for muddy tracks, someone is in trouble to the North, maybe our companions, maybe not. I have no time to come up with a plan, Running Bear is galloping towards the shots, followed closely by the gunfighter. I spur my horse to follow but I don’t get far. A wounded man stumbles from the undergrowth, no not wounded… Tex has started firing from his horse, these are not men. I dismount and grab my rifle, opening up on the deadman in front...

The rain drizzled down as we finished the battle with the tentacle monster.  Tex is not looking very good I think the exertion of combat is aggravating his condition. The shaman is staying behind to make sure he is ok. The dog has made his way from town just in time to miss the battle but there is no sign of Running Bear I assume he is still keeping watch over the town.  As we head out following the trail left by the abominations and the children they have taken we meet a wagon driven by a young boy with his injured mother in the back. He informs us that his homestead was attacked and his father was killed.  Father Matt does some healing on the mother and we decide to try to find the home and fort up for the night. unfortunately, the trail to the homestead and the trail of our prey go in different directions we follow the monsters. We come to a small clearing and see a body in the road.  It is the boy's father nearly dead and obviously cursed.  The ...

  As the dust clears, and the dead who have risen are either killed again or have run off, the townspeople begin searching for friends and family trying to make heads or tails of what had just taken place.  Dead people rising up to try and bite us, other weird fast-running abominations grabbing children and running away with them, everything is in disarray as we try to sum up the events that have just taken place.  As we start to put the pieces together, we realize that the towns children have not been taken, just seems to be the children from the train that were taken as a  few children were actually killed in the onslaught.  Everybody seems to be going on about chores they are accustomed to.  Father Matt seems to be trying to educate the towns doctor about these creatures, I think he called them zombies.  But the local doctor doesn’t seem to be getting it.   As a weary dark is still covering the town and surrounding areas as...

As I sit in this luxurious hotel just finishing the best meal of my life I contemplate how I got here.  All I wanted was to track down a certain band of savages and yet here I am working with a misfit band that includes three of the very savages I despise so much, a half breed, a Southern preacher, and an eccentric man from the East.  I could have avoided all this if those stupid outlaws would have waited one more day to rob the bank and kidnap those kids.  Maybe this could have been avoided if somebody would have walked to the bank with me but these men are not real deliberate in their actions their first move seems to always look for cover instead of just going after the problem.  Still, they have proven fairly effective once they decide to fight even the preacher did well at the outlaw's cabin.  The Indian called Dog worries me.  I'm sure he was ready to attack me back at the cabin and the fancy-dressed man named Henry seems very odd I've he...

The Arterial spray of bright red blood had barely stopped, as the Cherokee looted the dying outlaw. His comrade to the North was being treated in the same fashion, a sight that was familiar to me but not welcomed. Warnings from the North, riders approaching, I once again took cover in the undergrowth with the Cherokee, this time the Dandy Man joins us, still reeling from his impressive kill shot on the outlaw. Two riders approach, one a military man with a single-arm, he is flanked by a very dirty and peculiar looking man. I couldn't distinguish what tribe he belonged to, nor could I tell where his smell ended and the horses began. The one-armed man introduced himself as one William Tanner and after some back and forth between my new riding partners and him, we found that he was the father of the children who were taken in town. Yeehaw, in the year of our Lord, September 26, 1876.    We begin our journey by entering into St Charles.  After a short period, shooting erupts, and we can see people running out of the bank shootin’ at folks in the street.  Dalton shields a child and shoots and wounds one of the robbers.  Chris wings one in the face with his mighty 45x70.  Local law enforcement starts approaching the area.  Some with a little extra nudging from a visiting preacher and start firing.  The leader is wounded and crumples back into the bank.  The robbers grab 2 children and uses them as shields and hostages.  The sheriff is gut shot and takes a shot gun blast to the face and goes down.  The deputy is gut shown and his intestines are starting to hang out as the preacher drags him off and tries some preacher stuff on him.  The robbers immediately demand us to drop our shootin’ irons or they will execute these here...
